[It's been just about two weeks since Yuri's return to Luceti. He mostly kept to himself during this time, wanting to make certain he had most - if not all - of his memories of Luceti back before he made it clear that he was around again. ... And of course, before taking control of Brave Vesperia again. Seeing his guildmates and having no clue who half of them were wouldn't exactly win him any points with them, after all.

But now, he was sure he remembered most things. ... Little details weren't around, but he didn't see the details as being nearly as important as faces and names. Regardless, he decided that he'd done enough waiting around and flipped open his journal.]

I guess I've put this off long enough. [... Geez, what does he even say? "Hey guys, I'm back, in case someone didn't know!" Wow, that's kind of lame. Uhm.] So ... for those who know me, I'm back again - and I remember most things, as far as I can tell. For those who've got no clue who I am ... I wouldn't worry about it. I'm just one of those guys who keeps winding up here for whatever reason. You know, one of the "lucky" ones. [You could practically hear the quotes around 'lucky'.]

Anyway, I'll be taking charge of Brave Vesperia again over the next few days. So, if you've got any business with the guild and need to contact the guy in charge, send a message out to Yuri Lowell. I'll get back to you when I can. Also, if any guild members have anything they feel should be brought to my attention or anything like that, just let me know.

[Hm ... Yeah, that should be good enough. Although, there is one last thing ...]

... Aside from all that, I've got a question. Does anyone know just who was in charge of that training school thing from a while back? I've got a few things to ask them, if they're still around.

[Aside from that bit of business he had to take care of, Yuri's also at the battle dome, trying to get used to using the control panel for it again. ... Sure, he's only got it to do basic things (send out monsters in a typical grassy field), but it's something. He'll figure the rest of it out later.

So yes, feel free to run into him while he tries to figure out how to do more than just super basic things with the battle dome, or even catch him while he's training there.]

People keep asking us to build things for them.

Yeah, I've noticed. [ ... ] I'll get us out of this building rut somehow, though.

I don't know... if you ask me, I kind of like it a lot better when we're building things instead of having to protect the village from stuff.

[... Oh, right. There were some guild members that actually LIKE building things and not fighting anything. Weirdos. WEIRDOS.]

I'm not interested in having the guild be some kind of copycat of the Rogues, either, but I'd totally go for that instead if it meant I'd never need to look at another hammer again.

[Do you really want Ratatosk running around all the time? DO YOU, YURI?]

Why not just have everyone else do the hammering? I mean, you're the leader, so you could just pick something else to do if you don't like that part of building.

I'm pretty sure everyone's tired of only doing the same sort of things over and over. The guild wasn't meant for this sort of thing to begin with.

Oh. I'm not sure what other kinds of things the guild could do, though. There isn't really that much to protect the village from. Not that it's a bad thing, but... I don't know what else we can do besides building.

There's plenty of things we could do. It's just that no one ever thinks of hiring us to do them. [ ... ] But that's fine. If a little idea of mine ends up working out, then building won't be the only thing we'll be doing often anymore, anyway.

An idea of yours? What is it? Is it something I could help with?

Huh ... Honestly, it's something that'd probably help you more than something you could help with. [A small pause, then--] You remember that training school we used to have a while back?

I think so... are you thinking of starting it up again? I bet a lot of people would be interested in learning how to fight, especially with things like the drafts and missions.

It's something like that. Apparently it's in the middle of getting fixed up by the previous owners of it, so we might be ... working with them.

[He might come across as unsure for a quick moment there, but he quickly switches back to a more neutral tone.]

I'm not sure if we'll be teaching people how to fight on our end, though. At least I know for me personally, I'm not exactly teaching material.

[That tone goes unnoticed by Emil, at least, because he's too busy paying attention to the other part of what Yuri said.]

I don't know, I think you'd be a great teacher. [...] Um, remember how I asked you a long time ago if you'd teach me how to fight? You got sent home after that so we never got a chance to try, but... I'd really like it if you could teach me now. But only if you want to, I mean.

Huh?

[ ... ]

... Ah, right. I remember that. [A small pause, then--] Yeah, I wouldn't mind doing that. I mean, you've already got some kind of sword experience, and I already said I would.

[... Not that he thinks he'll be any good with actual teaching, but hey, might as well help the kid out AND use him as a sort of test dummy to see how well he could pull this sort of thing off.]

Really? Thank you! I promise to try my best! I don't know how good I'll be, but I'll work my hardest anyway. I'll make sure you won't regret agreeing to teach me.

[... sob SO THAT'S HOW IT IS, IS IT, YURI? Oh well. Emil's so happy about this that he wouldn't care even if he did know that.]

[W-well, there's the fact that Emil is well overdue when it comes to learning how to fight too, but ... yes. Sorry Emil, he's never done this before :(]

I'll hold you to that. Just remember that I've never done any teaching like this before when we start.

[It was one thing to teach a princess how to make an egg sandwich, but teaching someone how to use a sword properly is kiiiiiinda different.]

That's okay. I mean, how hard can it be to teach something like that? I think learning it will be the much harder part.

Maybe so, but things are even harder to learn if the teacher can't teach. It's definitely easier if the person telling you what to do knows how to do so.

What makes you think you wouldn't be any good at teaching?

... I'm not really the most patient guy out there. From what I understand, you need a lot of patience for this sort of thing.

I don't know-- I'd say you're pretty patient if you haven't chased me off yet.

[Because let's face it, he's well aware that he can be annoying sometimes.]

I'm only patient in some areas. Teaching seems like it'd be a little different from that.

[After all, he hasn't killed Raven in his sleep for all his antics. Yet.]

You don't have to worry about hurting my feelings if I mess something up. I want you to tell me whenever I'm doing it wrong so that I can work on fixing it.

[Really, he can see getting more frustrated at himself than anything else for not knowing how to explain things properly, but--]

It doesn't really matter too much, anyway. I'm still going to be doing this.
