[Nice and early in the morning, there'll be a wonderful noise coming from one of the empty bedrooms in house 12.

... Except not, because the noise is a loud THUD, followed by a groan and (if one is listening closely) a "dammit" and some mumbled complaining. Being dropped on the edge of an old mattress and immediately falling off of it onto the floor because of that isn't the best feeling to wake up to. Especially when you're just arriving in Luceti.

But uh, yeah. Good morning, house 12 residents!]

[ action - in the late afternoon to evening ]

[Now that he's gotten a fair chunk of his Luceti memories back, Yuri decides to head out that evening and refamiliarize himself with the village a little. Might as well try to get as much of his memory back before doing one of those "hey, I'm back" things, right? Well, it makes sense to him, anyway. He's more or less wandering all over the place in the village, but notably, he's stopping by the Smithy (might as well see if one of his swords is lying around there!), the Battle Dome (only to take a look at the place, though), and finally, the Good Spirits bar. Still, he may come across as a New Feather while he does his wandering, as he slows down a lot while he wanders - sometimes coming to full stops to look at areas or buildings.

Aside from those three places noted, he doesn't really hang around anywhere else in particular, but as he does slow to stops often in random places, feel free to catch him just about anywhere in the village.]

Does it take long to remember everything? Besides that one experiment, I haven't been sent back since I got here, so I have no idea.

I'm not too sure. It's kind of random, I think. Some people end up remembering everything the minute they figure out they're in Luceti, some people remember things after a few weeks ... It never seems to take too long, though.

Guess we should be grateful for small favours. Mostly because that's the only kind of favour we get around here...

Yeah, and it's a favor that doesn't even work out half the time, too. [sigh] But I guess that's just like them, anyway.

Took the words right out of my mouth. [He shrugs; it's a part of life not really worth kicking up a fuss over, even if complaining is a nice placebo.] Anything exciting happen on your world while you were home, at least?

Huh ... Well, we were just about to take someone down and save the world. I'd say that counts as exciting.

Hey, not bad. I did that once, it was... an adventure.

You too, huh? It kind of makes me wonder just how many people do that whole "saving the world" thing, here.

... Actually, I probably don't want to know. It'd make saving the world start sounding about as exciting and new as picking up groceries.

Okay, that's just depressing. It's hard work! I don't want it to be so mainstream.

Yeah, seriously ... I've been busting my butt back home! Last thing I want to hear is how a hundred or so people here did the same thing in their worlds during one of their free weekends.

...Well, now that you've brought it up, I'm honestly kind of curious. I mean, if we worked hard to get it done, then everyone else must have, too, right? It's not like what we did is any less important! Just means there's a lot of worlds out there that need saving.

I sure hope they did. If some people really did just knock it out over a weekend, then ... Man, I don't even know how I'd feel about that.

...Well... technically, I did? With help, of course, but it didn't really take that long. Actually, if you don't count the build-up, the whole problem was solved in less than a day.

The build-up definitely counts. Otherwise, "saving the world" only takes about an hour or so. [ ... ] What do you mean by "technically" anyway? Did it really just take you a day or so?

Yeah, more or less. There was a really strong guy who kind of... lost his mind. He holed himself up in a basement for a week, and when he came out again, he started going crazy and setting everything on fire. He took out an entire village in about an hour and started going on about this headless alien being his mom and how they were going to punish everyone on the planet. I thought I was the only guy around who had a fighting chance of stopping him, so I gave it a shot.

[......... Well, that's. Certainly a ... thing.]

That sounds ... sudden. [Should he ask how this guy even GOT to that level of crazy? ... Nah. Maybe some other time.] I'm guessing you giving it a shot worked out, then?

Not really. I got my ass kicked.

... I thought getting your ass handed to you caused problems, not solved them.

Actually, I like to think that I wore him down a little bit, but the truth is I just didn't finish him off. A friend of mine did. Either way, the world didn't get set on fire, so I call it a success.

Yeah, I'd say that counts as a success. Even if it's not some kind of perfect ending, it sure sounds better than what could've happened instead.

Yeah, it would be kind of hard to live in a world that's constantly on fire.

... I'd say so. I can't imagine that making life any easier for anyone.

I guess the winters wouldn't be that bad, at least.

Maybe everyone could build houses in the ocean or something. We'd need a whole lot more Underwater materia for that to work, though! Post-apocalyptic worlds are a pain.

No kidding. That sounds like way more of a pain than just dealing with the fire.

Hey, that's what ice materia is for. Assuming the apocalypse doesn't destroy it all, that is.
