Now that things seem to be settling down, I've got a little announcement to make.

Some of you might remember way back when we used to have a "training school" here. For those of you who weren't around back then, it was made to help people learn to fight, learn new fighting styles, or just get better at defending themselves. Pretty straightforward. Anyway, since it's been inactive for a long time now - and because things are never totally peaceful around here - Brave Vesperia has decided to get it started up again.

I'm still in the process of figuring out how to actually run this thing, but there's a few things I know we definitely need - teachers, and anyone willing to set some time aside to spar with those who need the practice. You don't need to be a member of the guild to get involved, either. That goes for any of the past teachers who want to get back into this, too. As for guild members ... while I'd like you guys to help out, I'm not gonna force you to. I'll leave it up to you to get involved in this or not.

So ... let me know if you're interested in giving us a hand with this. We sure could use it.

... Oh, right. Just 'cause Brave Vesperia's doing this doesn't mean we're not taking jobs anymore. So if there's something you need from us, we're still around for that too.

[... That was totally not a "little announcement". Oh well. He's also keeping quiet about the fact that BV doesn't have full control of things just yet, but ... well, he doesn't see that as anyone's business anyway.]

[Once the evening comes around, Yuri will be heading to Good Spirits for a few drinks, taking a seat on one of the corner stools by the bar while he's there. He usually doesn't drop by the place very often, but all this responsibility he's been taking on with the guild is really wearing him out. Heck, even though he's trying to keep a neutral front, some of the more "keen-eyed" types might be able to pick out that he's actually pretty damn tired.

Even though he's entirely content to drink in silence right about now, feel free to bug him while he's there. He could probably use it.]

[Yuri? IN THE BAR?! Not a place he ever expected to actually run into the kid but this works nicely. The old man has been meaning to get Yuri drunk or a while.

[Now this is interesting. He at least remembers the potential for a draft to come along at any time, so this is just the thing he needed. One year of fighting in the TV World may have given him an edge, but that can only go so far before he needs to learn from others.]

[Zack's reaction to Yuri's arrival is pretty much the same as Raven's, since it's such a rare thing. Well, a customer is a customer is a friend, so he wanders over and slides a menu helpfully along the counter towards Yuri.]

Evening, Yuri. What's the occasion?

[... Oh right, Raven comes here pretty often. He'll look over and give him a bit of a smirk. Raven probably knows him well enough by now to tell that it's a little more half-assed than usual.]

Ah right, I almost forgot you were usually in here.

For now, there isn't. Unless things get too busy, there may not even be one, aside from anything any teachers we get come up with.

Hey, Zack. [Bit of a pause while he gets the menu in his hands.] No occasion. Just felt like I needed a drink or two.

Is there a particular sorta teacher you're lookin' for? You need anybody who's good with knives?

[Firo hasn't had the opportunity to try his hand at teaching, but he's pretty sure passing on what he's picked up couldn't be that hard. It's about time he did something around Luceti.]

How rude! Ya should know better, if I'm not at home there's only one or two other places I'd be. Not that it's important though. I heard yer little announcement earlier.

Honestly, we're not being very picky about things for now. Even if we were though, I'm pretty sure we don't have anyone who uses knives, so you're welcome to come on board for this. [ ... ] You know, providing you're not the kind of guy people should be worried about, or anything like that.

[Nothing personal, Firo, Yuri's just auto-suspicious of almost everyone when meeting them for the first time.]

Oh yeah? [He sighs lightly at that.] ... Too bad it wasn't actually "little". Talking that much to a book really makes you feel like a crazy person after a while.

Hmmm... but aren't we all a little crazy already? I mean, who needs ta talk face ta face any more when ya have a whole network in yer hands. You could sit on the toilet and chat away, nobody would be any the wiser! All it needs now is that google thing and it'd be great!

[Asbel is pretty excited to hear this.]

Well, it's not like I can do some kind of background investigation on you here, so I'll have to take you on your word for now. [But that aside--] But I am gonna need your name.

Well, "somehow" is better than nothing, I guess. You'll probably figure something out by time we actually get things moving, though.

From what I know, google is this... what was it now? Ee... eepa? I swear it was an E sound... Opaque? Whatever. In this magical world named Earth there's this huge network like the blastia network Alexei built, it's called the World Wide Web! I think a spider made it or somethin'. Anyway, Google is this thing that lets ya search through the network. Think of it like all the books in the library bein' connected together, usin' this one little formula ya can search through all the books for what yer lookin' for without checkin' the pages of every book yerself.
