Now that things seem to be settling down, I've got a little announcement to make.

Some of you might remember way back when we used to have a "training school" here. For those of you who weren't around back then, it was made to help people learn to fight, learn new fighting styles, or just get better at defending themselves. Pretty straightforward. Anyway, since it's been inactive for a long time now - and because things are never totally peaceful around here - Brave Vesperia has decided to get it started up again.

I'm still in the process of figuring out how to actually run this thing, but there's a few things I know we definitely need - teachers, and anyone willing to set some time aside to spar with those who need the practice. You don't need to be a member of the guild to get involved, either. That goes for any of the past teachers who want to get back into this, too. As for guild members ... while I'd like you guys to help out, I'm not gonna force you to. I'll leave it up to you to get involved in this or not.

So ... let me know if you're interested in giving us a hand with this. We sure could use it.

... Oh, right. Just 'cause Brave Vesperia's doing this doesn't mean we're not taking jobs anymore. So if there's something you need from us, we're still around for that too.

[... That was totally not a "little announcement". Oh well. He's also keeping quiet about the fact that BV doesn't have full control of things just yet, but ... well, he doesn't see that as anyone's business anyway.]

[Once the evening comes around, Yuri will be heading to Good Spirits for a few drinks, taking a seat on one of the corner stools by the bar while he's there. He usually doesn't drop by the place very often, but all this responsibility he's been taking on with the guild is really wearing him out. Heck, even though he's trying to keep a neutral front, some of the more "keen-eyed" types might be able to pick out that he's actually pretty damn tired.

Even though he's entirely content to drink in silence right about now, feel free to bug him while he's there. He could probably use it.]

From what I know, google is this... what was it now? Ee... eepa? I swear it was an E sound... Opaque? Whatever. In this magical world named Earth there's this huge network like the blastia network Alexei built, it's called the World Wide Web! I think a spider made it or somethin'. Anyway, Google is this thing that lets ya search through the network. Think of it like all the books in the library bein' connected together, usin' this one little formula ya can search through all the books for what yer lookin' for without checkin' the pages of every book yerself.

... Sounds boring. I bet Aspio would be all over that, though.

[Those Aspio mages like books and finding things and formulas and other nerd crap. They'd totally love this spider blastia or whatever it is.]

Ah right, I guess I almost forgot that yer not interested in anythin' sciencey. Though I can't say I am either, oh well.

There isn't one, honestly - I just had nothing better to do tonight and felt like I could use a few drinks.

It's really not a big deal, but I guess thinking about everything I'm in charge of now is spooking me a little. It's nothing a drink or two won't take care of, though.

Ooooh, it's the guild stuff, huh? A guild isn't run by one person, it's a group effort, yer more than welcome ta come ask the rest of us fer help ya know. You don't have to lone wolf these things all the time!

I know, I know ... There's no way I'd be able to do all this completely on my own, anyway. I'd just drive myself crazy.

You sounds like ya need some rum, or sake, or even whiskey! That stuff warms ya up inside and get ya drunk in no time! Nothin' better ta wash yer worries away with! Actually, let's get ya some whiskey, I promise it'll be good!

I didn't really come in here to get drunk, or anything like that. But all right, whatever -- I'll try some of that.

[He jumps over the counter and starts digging through the bottles on the shelves. He works here, he knows where the good stuff is. After a couple of minutes he slams a whiskey bottle and two glasses down in front of Yuri.]

This stuff is great! If yer gonna drown yer sorrows and get rid of that stress then ya wanna make sure it'll do the job!

[Yuri almost asks Raven why the hell he thought it'd be okay to jump over the counter and start rummaging through things, but cuts himself off -- that's right, Raven works here now. But hey, since his mouth was already open anyway, he'll sigh and just. Watch.

Until the whiskey and the glasses get slammed down, anyway.]

That's good and all, but it doesn't have some kind of weird, overpowering taste or anything, does it?

Fine! Be suspicious of anythin' I do! Can't a guy just offer you a drink without it bein' wrong! I mean, ya saw me just open the brand new bottle! Ta answer yer question, it tastes like whiskey, because that's what it is.
