Now that things seem to be settling down, I've got a little announcement to make.

Some of you might remember way back when we used to have a "training school" here. For those of you who weren't around back then, it was made to help people learn to fight, learn new fighting styles, or just get better at defending themselves. Pretty straightforward. Anyway, since it's been inactive for a long time now - and because things are never totally peaceful around here - Brave Vesperia has decided to get it started up again.

I'm still in the process of figuring out how to actually run this thing, but there's a few things I know we definitely need - teachers, and anyone willing to set some time aside to spar with those who need the practice. You don't need to be a member of the guild to get involved, either. That goes for any of the past teachers who want to get back into this, too. As for guild members ... while I'd like you guys to help out, I'm not gonna force you to. I'll leave it up to you to get involved in this or not.

So ... let me know if you're interested in giving us a hand with this. We sure could use it.

... Oh, right. Just 'cause Brave Vesperia's doing this doesn't mean we're not taking jobs anymore. So if there's something you need from us, we're still around for that too.

[... That was totally not a "little announcement". Oh well. He's also keeping quiet about the fact that BV doesn't have full control of things just yet, but ... well, he doesn't see that as anyone's business anyway.]

[Once the evening comes around, Yuri will be heading to Good Spirits for a few drinks, taking a seat on one of the corner stools by the bar while he's there. He usually doesn't drop by the place very often, but all this responsibility he's been taking on with the guild is really wearing him out. Heck, even though he's trying to keep a neutral front, some of the more "keen-eyed" types might be able to pick out that he's actually pretty damn tired.

Even though he's entirely content to drink in silence right about now, feel free to bug him while he's there. He could probably use it.]

How rude! Ya should know better, if I'm not at home there's only one or two other places I'd be. Not that it's important though. I heard yer little announcement earlier.

[Now this is interesting. He at least remembers the potential for a draft to come along at any time, so this is just the thing he needed. One year of fighting in the TV World may have given him an edge, but that can only go so far before he needs to learn from others.]

I can make time for it. Is there a schedule of some sort that needs to be followed?

For now, there isn't. Unless things get too busy, there may not even be one, aside from anything any teachers we get come up with.

[Zack's reaction to Yuri's arrival is pretty much the same as Raven's, since it's such a rare thing. Well, a customer is a customer is a friend, so he wanders over and slides a menu helpfully along the counter towards Yuri.]

Evening, Yuri. What's the occasion?

Hey, Zack. [Bit of a pause while he gets the menu in his hands.] No occasion. Just felt like I needed a drink or two.

Is there a particular sorta teacher you're lookin' for? You need anybody who's good with knives?

[Firo hasn't had the opportunity to try his hand at teaching, but he's pretty sure passing on what he's picked up couldn't be that hard. It's about time he did something around Luceti.]

Honestly, we're not being very picky about things for now. Even if we were though, I'm pretty sure we don't have anyone who uses knives, so you're welcome to come on board for this. [ ... ] You know, providing you're not the kind of guy people should be worried about, or anything like that.

Well, "somehow" is better than nothing, I guess. You'll probably figure something out by time we actually get things moving, though.

I wouldn't mind giving it a shot. Been fighting since I was a little kid, so I've got solid experience with swordplay.

You just sticking to physical combat, though? It might help to throw in a little magic for good measure.

I was going to stick to physical combat, but now that you mention it, having some magic taught too would be pretty helpful. Since you're bringing it up, though, I'm guessing you know some?

I would be willing to take on one or two more students. I can train with any type of sword or knife and even two swords as well.

I can also teach the use of magic in battle as well.

Magic and blades, huh? You sound like you're already in the middle of training some people yourself, too ...

[He trails off there, but the last line is more or less meant as confirmation.]

Hoooow advanced is this? I mean, I wouldn't say I'm inexperienced by any means now, but I would not mind to learn something of use to adding to my style.

I'd say it's about as advanced as you want it to be. Sure, there's probably gonna be a handful of beginners around, but I doubt you'll be the only guy there who's just looking to improve.

[ Lightning's only been back in Luceti for about a day or so, but when she hears Yuri's message while chillin' about, still trying to come to terms with all of the new memories and issues they bring with them sloshing around in her head... well.

She doesn't reply right away, but when she sees him later in the bar? She remembers talking to him about the school before, and when she considers it she can't really see any reason to shun this little thread back to her Luceti life pre-disappearance. Therefore, after quickly draining her own glass, she wanders over, taking a deep breath before entering the space around him with her almost always present sense of cool confidence up and about her.

... That said, she doesn't say anything at first- just attempts to catch his attention by eye contact or close proximity. ]

[Even though Yuri's in a fairly odd mood (for him, anyway) tonight, he's still as quick as ever to notice when someone's hanging around, trying to get his attention. After a quick glance to see just who was there, he'll put his drink down and give Lightning his attention.]

[He certainly can't think of what it might be, but she does seem to be trying to get his attention, so ...]

[And guess who happens to be a regular bar patron! If Yuri was getting "regal" vibes from Richard the first time they met face-to-face, they will probably be getting thoroughly dashed now as a beaming Richard will plop himself down on the stool right next to Yuri, drink in hand.

[While Yuri is fairly distracted, he's also keeping tabs on his surroundings. So when Richard suddenly plops down next to him, he's not even slightly surprised - although, when he looks over at him and sees how much he's beaming, he does give him the ol' eyebrow raise.

... yeah wow he's either drunk or he had the wrong impression altogether. But whatever, that's fine. Talking to possibly drunk people is good enough for a distraction from work stress for now.]
