Now that things seem to be settling down, I've got a little announcement to make.

Some of you might remember way back when we used to have a "training school" here. For those of you who weren't around back then, it was made to help people learn to fight, learn new fighting styles, or just get better at defending themselves. Pretty straightforward. Anyway, since it's been inactive for a long time now - and because things are never totally peaceful around here - Brave Vesperia has decided to get it started up again.

I'm still in the process of figuring out how to actually run this thing, but there's a few things I know we definitely need - teachers, and anyone willing to set some time aside to spar with those who need the practice. You don't need to be a member of the guild to get involved, either. That goes for any of the past teachers who want to get back into this, too. As for guild members ... while I'd like you guys to help out, I'm not gonna force you to. I'll leave it up to you to get involved in this or not.

So ... let me know if you're interested in giving us a hand with this. We sure could use it.

... Oh, right. Just 'cause Brave Vesperia's doing this doesn't mean we're not taking jobs anymore. So if there's something you need from us, we're still around for that too.

[... That was totally not a "little announcement". Oh well. He's also keeping quiet about the fact that BV doesn't have full control of things just yet, but ... well, he doesn't see that as anyone's business anyway.]

[Once the evening comes around, Yuri will be heading to Good Spirits for a few drinks, taking a seat on one of the corner stools by the bar while he's there. He usually doesn't drop by the place very often, but all this responsibility he's been taking on with the guild is really wearing him out. Heck, even though he's trying to keep a neutral front, some of the more "keen-eyed" types might be able to pick out that he's actually pretty damn tired.

Even though he's entirely content to drink in silence right about now, feel free to bug him while he's there. He could probably use it.]

[... But he goes a little quiet after that. Sure, he's a little frustrated and really stressed, but even a punching-bag like Raven doesn't deserve to get sniped at because he's having a bad day. He's starting to think he should just not talk much while he's in this kind of mood. AREN'T YOU GLAD RAVEN, HE'S BEING OPENLY EMOTIONAL kinda sorta just barely.]

I didn't really come in here to get drunk, or anything like that. But all right, whatever -- I'll try some of that.

[He jumps over the counter and starts digging through the bottles on the shelves. He works here, he knows where the good stuff is. After a couple of minutes he slams a whiskey bottle and two glasses down in front of Yuri.]

This stuff is great! If yer gonna drown yer sorrows and get rid of that stress then ya wanna make sure it'll do the job!

[Yuri almost asks Raven why the hell he thought it'd be okay to jump over the counter and start rummaging through things, but cuts himself off -- that's right, Raven works here now. But hey, since his mouth was already open anyway, he'll sigh and just. Watch.

Until the whiskey and the glasses get slammed down, anyway.]

That's good and all, but it doesn't have some kind of weird, overpowering taste or anything, does it?

Fine! Be suspicious of anythin' I do! Can't a guy just offer you a drink without it bein' wrong! I mean, ya saw me just open the brand new bottle! Ta answer yer question, it tastes like whiskey, because that's what it is.

[He pours himself a glass and makes his way back over the counter. He does what he wants.]

Hey c'mon, I was just asking 'cause I've never had it before. And I'm not being suspicious of anything, either. Sheesh ...

[Whatever man whatever. After Raven pours himself a glass, Yuri will go ahead and do the same. Might as well find out by trying, then.]

Then we gotta drink it like real men! [He holds the glass up to toast.] Clinky clinky then drinky drinky! Down the whole thing in one, alright?

[... Well, NOW he looks a little suspicious, but fine. He's a man, he shouldn't be sipping at new drinks like some kind of pansy, anyway. Even if he's pretty damn unsure about this.

Well, it does smell a little strong, but it's not a lot that he's got in that glass. It'll be fine.]

Yeah yeah, sure. If it tastes like crap, though, I'm getting on your case about it.

[So he'll raise his glass, clink it against Raven's, and go ahead and down his glass.

... he'll probably cough a few times afterward, because fuck does that feel like he just drank fire.]

[God Yuri, you're a damn virgin at alcohol. Though Raven is finding your coughing highly amusing. Maybe he should try you on some even harder stuff? Can't have you leaving here sober.]

[That's what he gets for sticking to beers and whatever random cocktail Zack throws at him. But he's giving Raven a bit of a glare for that. ... And making a very pointed mental note to not do that with anything else Raven passes over. Not that the whiskey itself was bad, but still.]

Awww, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Here I was thinkin' that ya couldn't stomach these sort of things! Even Flynn managed ta drink harder than this. [That's a lie, Flynn only had juice when he had him as a wingman but whatever, Yuri doesn't need to know all the details.]
