Now that things seem to be settling down, I've got a little announcement to make.

Some of you might remember way back when we used to have a "training school" here. For those of you who weren't around back then, it was made to help people learn to fight, learn new fighting styles, or just get better at defending themselves. Pretty straightforward. Anyway, since it's been inactive for a long time now - and because things are never totally peaceful around here - Brave Vesperia has decided to get it started up again.

I'm still in the process of figuring out how to actually run this thing, but there's a few things I know we definitely need - teachers, and anyone willing to set some time aside to spar with those who need the practice. You don't need to be a member of the guild to get involved, either. That goes for any of the past teachers who want to get back into this, too. As for guild members ... while I'd like you guys to help out, I'm not gonna force you to. I'll leave it up to you to get involved in this or not.

So ... let me know if you're interested in giving us a hand with this. We sure could use it.

... Oh, right. Just 'cause Brave Vesperia's doing this doesn't mean we're not taking jobs anymore. So if there's something you need from us, we're still around for that too.

[... That was totally not a "little announcement". Oh well. He's also keeping quiet about the fact that BV doesn't have full control of things just yet, but ... well, he doesn't see that as anyone's business anyway.]

[Once the evening comes around, Yuri will be heading to Good Spirits for a few drinks, taking a seat on one of the corner stools by the bar while he's there. He usually doesn't drop by the place very often, but all this responsibility he's been taking on with the guild is really wearing him out. Heck, even though he's trying to keep a neutral front, some of the more "keen-eyed" types might be able to pick out that he's actually pretty damn tired.

Even though he's entirely content to drink in silence right about now, feel free to bug him while he's there. He could probably use it.]

[And he won't press- yet. He's had those days, and sometimes you really do just need someone who will hang out and give you something to burn your throat with.

He mixes some booze around for a bit, pondering the silence, then slides one of the stronger Fonic-Whatever drinks that Guy had taught him. Nice and citrus-y. Enjoy the fire on your tongue, bro.]

Things going okay? At home, with the guild, all that?

... More or less. Things have been a little awkward, but no problems or anything.

[He eyes that drink for a few seconds before trying it out.

That's ... definitely strong. Not bad, though.

You can thank Guy for that one. Actually, I think that was the first drink I ever learned here.

... Oh right, I forgot that he came up with a bunch of drinks way back. Guess I come here a lot less often than I thought.

Seriously. Do you know how depressed and lonely I get without my daily boss fix?

What, you want me to come by here every night?

[He'll throw in a bit of a smirk with that comment, too.]

[... This is probably the third time he's said this, though.]

[Yeah, he's not buying that. Just like he's not buying that everything's peachy and fine. He merely nods, quiet for a moment, then grabs himself a beer and leans against the counter, swilling the liquid around in its bottle thoughtfully.]

...So, are you gonna tell me what's really eating at you, or do I have to start guessing?

There really aren't any serious problems or anything, if that's what you're thinking. Just some stress and a little at home awkwardness - nothing that won't go away on it's own.

[Sure, it'd just fade away on it's own, right? He'll eventually get over being stressed about the amount of work he's putting on himself, and the whole thing with Patty and Raven coming from some kind of alternate time line is something he just needs to get used to. It's not like he can change any of that, after all ...]

You wanna talk about it? Or- you know what, I take that back, because I know you, and of course you don't want to talk about it. But I think you should.

[Serious or not, problems fester, even when you think they'll just vanish on their own.]

[Yuri stays quiet for a few seconds, thinking about that. He really doesn't think it's a big deal at all, but maybe hiding it will just make it seem like it is. It's stupid stuff, as far as he sees it, so it's not like he gets anything out of hiding it anyway.

Either way. One thing at a time.]

I don't really think it'll do much to help anything ... but fine. [ ... ] I feel like I piled way too much responsibility on myself with the guild and the training school thing, just for the sake of not boring myself to tears whenever the guild doesn't have a job to do. It's not like I don't think I can do it - it's just a lot. I know I'll get used to it all eventually, even if I'm not exactly thrilled about it right now, but I guess it's still getting to me anyway.

It feels a little stupid to complain about something I did to myself, though. Sure, I got the idea from someone else, but it's not as if they threatened me into doing it as soon as I did. I just didn't see any reason to wait around.

[Ahaha... that does seem like a handful. Zack is quiet for a moment, mulling it over, a frown crossing his expression.]

Sorry I haven't been doing my part. You know, all you have to do is ask and we'll help you out, Yuri. Running the guild doesn't mean you have to do all the leadership stuff on your own. Come on, delegate a little! I'm sure there's other guild members who'd welcome a few jobs here and there.

I've been delegating, lately. ... Kind of. I did it today, anyway. [... Although, making Asbel clean BV's corner of the barracks is probably less delegation and more general dickery.] I'm not really a fan of having people do things I should be taking care of, but I guess I don't have much of a choice anymore.

That's a workaholic's mentality, man. Coming from you, it just sounds wrong.

When you put it that way, sure it does. It's not like I'm keeping myself up at night with this stuff though, or even been working at it for hours at a time - I haven't completely lost my mind here yet.

I don't know ... I could just be very good at pretending I'm not insane.

I guess that's alright as long as we don't find you out. You know, when you start laughing hysterically and setting things on fire.

I think I can keep my hysterical laughing and pyromania under control for now. Somewhere down the road, though ... I'm not making any promises there.

That's okay, we'll just stock up on fire extinguishers and earplugs until then.
