Now that things seem to be settling down, I've got a little announcement to make.

Some of you might remember way back when we used to have a "training school" here. For those of you who weren't around back then, it was made to help people learn to fight, learn new fighting styles, or just get better at defending themselves. Pretty straightforward. Anyway, since it's been inactive for a long time now - and because things are never totally peaceful around here - Brave Vesperia has decided to get it started up again.

I'm still in the process of figuring out how to actually run this thing, but there's a few things I know we definitely need - teachers, and anyone willing to set some time aside to spar with those who need the practice. You don't need to be a member of the guild to get involved, either. That goes for any of the past teachers who want to get back into this, too. As for guild members ... while I'd like you guys to help out, I'm not gonna force you to. I'll leave it up to you to get involved in this or not.

So ... let me know if you're interested in giving us a hand with this. We sure could use it.

... Oh, right. Just 'cause Brave Vesperia's doing this doesn't mean we're not taking jobs anymore. So if there's something you need from us, we're still around for that too.

[... That was totally not a "little announcement". Oh well. He's also keeping quiet about the fact that BV doesn't have full control of things just yet, but ... well, he doesn't see that as anyone's business anyway.]

[Once the evening comes around, Yuri will be heading to Good Spirits for a few drinks, taking a seat on one of the corner stools by the bar while he's there. He usually doesn't drop by the place very often, but all this responsibility he's been taking on with the guild is really wearing him out. Heck, even though he's trying to keep a neutral front, some of the more "keen-eyed" types might be able to pick out that he's actually pretty damn tired.

Even though he's entirely content to drink in silence right about now, feel free to bug him while he's there. He could probably use it.]

[ Maybe she dyed them? Or... okay, not likely. But either way- yeah, she doesn't seem to acknowledge her own shift in appearance (...and behavior, though whether or not that becomes apparently obviously remains to be seen).

She does slip into the seat beside him, though she's careful to maintain her physical and emotional distance all the same so far. She watches him carefully, but again, if it crosses her mind that this might not be the best place to bring it up, she... chooses to ignore the thought. ]

You said that you were looking for volunteers.

Yeah, I am. [A short pause while he takes a moment to take a sip of his drink.] You interested in being one of those volunteers?

I am.

[ Easy enough answer... save for that odd little quality to her voice that suggests more than the two tiny words she actually speaks with it. After all, he asked if she was interested, not if she'd do it. ]

Heh. And here I thought I wouldn't get anyone else for a while longer. [Well, it's only one more person to get information out of, anyway -- he can go back to relaxing afterward.] What would you be teaching people? I've never seen you fight or anything like that before, so ...

[When he says that, he tries to keep a tone that doesn't imply that he thinks she can't fight, since he's almost certain she can.]

Barring anything especially stylized or exotic... if it's got a blade or uses some kind of projectile, chances are I can probably cover it.

[ Pretty big boast, but her calm voice does nothing to suggest it's anything less than totally true. And as such-- ]

... In particular, should you have anyone come to you while already possessing far more than the norm in physical strength....

So you can handle people who are abnormally strong, huh ... [Then again, she was with Zack, so that made sense.] We don't have anyone for projectiles either, actually. It's kind of pathetic, but that alone is enough for me to let you on board for this.

[ There's a very very slight nod at that- somehow, she's not surprised that there's a current lack of that sort of skill. Luceti's kind of a land of swords and... alternate options for weapons, for whatever reason. ]

So long as you're not expecting your teachers to help with your construction projects, then I might be able to offer my services, then.

[That gets a smirk out of him.]

Careful. You don't want to give me any ideas when it comes to things like that. [a light shrug] But unless you actually join the guild itself, I can't really spring that on you. So you can help us all out without needing to worry about nailing anything together.

... That arrangement is really for the best, trust me...

[ She can have a sense of humor! Sometimes. Sort of. Could be hard to tell what she's referencing, but-- yeah. She's a whole lot better at taking things apart than putting them together. At least when it comes to things made of wood and metal and such. ]

Not a carpenter, huh? [a shrug] Well, so much for tricking you into helping us out later. I guess I'll have to let you stick to helping with the training school only, then.

[ Hey, no worries, maybe Zack can do her share of work too. :) She just gives a tight little smile, then shifts to slide out of her seat with a dip of her head. ]

I'll be waiting for any developments.

[He won't even look over when she gets up, instead giving her a short, back-handed wave.]

[ The answer's amiable enough in tone though, even if she returns the favor of being light on the parting gestures- leaving him to himself, she simply crosses back to where she'd left her bag previously, going back to whatever she'd intended to do before catching sight of him in the first place. 8|b ]
