[Action]

[As per usual, Yuri's spending his morning today in the battle dome ... although, for those who've seen him in there a decent amount of times, they may notice something different. Like the fact that he seems to be using a mid-sized axe instead of a sword this time around. It even seems to be making some of his artes look and act a little differently as well.

He also has a sword leaning against the room he's using - namely the katana Luke got him for Christmas. Occasionally, during breaks in his training, he'll wander over to it and pick it up, as if thinking about something related to it, but he always ends up putting it back down again.

Feel free to interrupt his session at any point! The monsters he's fighting don't seem to be challenging him very much, to begin with.]

Got a bit of a question for everyone. Which do you think is better - swords, or axes?

As for you all, I figured I should let you know that I'll be trying to do a little recruiting around the end of the month. I'm planning on doing the usual through-the-journal kind, but if anyone's got a better idea, let me know.

... Actually, if anyone's got any ideas for the guild at all, now's a good time to tell me. Especially if it'd help us stand out a little more as something other than some kind of construction group.

Since their polished edges tend to be larger, they catch the light more easily than other weapons. Perhaps it gets their attention...?

That could be part of it too ... I doubt they'd really think about them much past things like that.

I truly doubt it depends on their utility, at least. What use could a dragon have for a sword or spear?

Well, if it's some kind of humanoid dragon, then I guess it'd have a use, but otherwise ...

A humanoid dragon? I've never seen one of those. Do they exist in your world?

They don't actually look human, but some do carry weapons around - and use them.

...And here I was, thinking regular dragons were already dangerous enough.

I don't know about you, but there are much more dangerous things than dragons where I'm from.

I can think of a few dozen effortlessly. A few might even find themselves here, if New Feathers keep arriving.

It seems that way. I don't think I've come across a single person who could claim they come from a peaceful world here, though. Not yet, anyway.

Hopefully they exist and merely do not share the information. It'd be quite worrying, otherwise.

... That wouldn't end well, if they did. Although, it'd be kind of suicidal for them to really try to start much of anything with as many "good guy" types as we've got around here. Unless they were seriously confident in themselves, anyway.

Sadly, the people who are confident enough to attack so many 'good guy' types at once are usually strong enough to cause quite a lot of damage, at the very least.

Usually, yeah. Although, every time something like that's happened here, we've all managed to stop it pretty quick. So something like that isn't something I'll be losing much sleep over any time soon.

...Yet there were still deaths last June, were there not? Pretty quick is not always enough.
