[Action]

[As per usual, Yuri's spending his morning today in the battle dome ... although, for those who've seen him in there a decent amount of times, they may notice something different. Like the fact that he seems to be using a mid-sized axe instead of a sword this time around. It even seems to be making some of his artes look and act a little differently as well.

He also has a sword leaning against the room he's using - namely the katana Luke got him for Christmas. Occasionally, during breaks in his training, he'll wander over to it and pick it up, as if thinking about something related to it, but he always ends up putting it back down again.

Feel free to interrupt his session at any point! The monsters he's fighting don't seem to be challenging him very much, to begin with.]

Got a bit of a question for everyone. Which do you think is better - swords, or axes?

As for you all, I figured I should let you know that I'll be trying to do a little recruiting around the end of the month. I'm planning on doing the usual through-the-journal kind, but if anyone's got a better idea, let me know.

... Actually, if anyone's got any ideas for the guild at all, now's a good time to tell me. Especially if it'd help us stand out a little more as something other than some kind of construction group.

Yeah, that's right. Mostly swords, though.

Then why were you asking which is better?

I just felt like hearing other people's opinions on it.

Oh, I see. But I guess people here use all kinds of different weapons...

Seems that way. I mean, I didn't expect everyone to use swords or axes, but some people were totally against both of them.

For me a sword would be too heavy anyway.

Huh? ... Well, I guess some types might be a little on the heavy side.

That's right. And that's why not all people use them.

Axes are usually even heavier than swords, aren't they?

Yeah, usually. [There's a slight pause where he shrugs to himself.] It's probably because of that that most people don't bother trying to use them.

I don't know anyone who would use them. Unless for chopping wood.

I can't say I know many people who'd use them, either. Then again, I don't know many people who'd even be able to lift or swing them around too easily.

But you can? You must be pretty strong, right?

[He smirks a little at that.]

Of course. I have to be, where I'm from.

Is your world a dangerous place?

That's ... kind of an understatement, unfortunately. I mean, it's not like there's no peace at all there, but it could definitely be better.

Then it's just like my world.

Yeah, probably. It really depends on just how bad things are, but comparing world problems is ... kind of a slippery slope.

You're probably right.

... Well, only if it's a sort of "my world is worse than yours!" sort of thing. It's not like I've never done a little world comparing before.

Well, my world is pretty dangerous, ruined and there's a war there. Still I can't say it's worse than yours, since I don't know what's your world like.

Well, there's a sort of giant monster covering part of it, and ... well, let's just say it's complicated.

Huh? Are you serious? I can't even imagine something like that...

There are worse things going on than even that, though. [But explaining some ancient weapon that's more or less wiping out humanity to kill that monster is ... a little more than he wants to explain. Ever.] ... But it'll all be fixed as soon as I get back. So, it'll be fine.
