[Action]

[As per usual, Yuri's spending his morning today in the battle dome ... although, for those who've seen him in there a decent amount of times, they may notice something different. Like the fact that he seems to be using a mid-sized axe instead of a sword this time around. It even seems to be making some of his artes look and act a little differently as well.

He also has a sword leaning against the room he's using - namely the katana Luke got him for Christmas. Occasionally, during breaks in his training, he'll wander over to it and pick it up, as if thinking about something related to it, but he always ends up putting it back down again.

Feel free to interrupt his session at any point! The monsters he's fighting don't seem to be challenging him very much, to begin with.]

Got a bit of a question for everyone. Which do you think is better - swords, or axes?

As for you all, I figured I should let you know that I'll be trying to do a little recruiting around the end of the month. I'm planning on doing the usual through-the-journal kind, but if anyone's got a better idea, let me know.

... Actually, if anyone's got any ideas for the guild at all, now's a good time to tell me. Especially if it'd help us stand out a little more as something other than some kind of construction group.

I don't know, it seemed to work out pretty well for them most of the time. Great for...taking out dragons.

Well, something as big as a dragon, I can see it working out. But otherwise ... not so much. I guess you'd know better than me, though, having actually seen it in action.

No, you're right. The enemy you're fighting definitely does make a difference. One-on-one? Both and axe and a sword would be a pretty bad idea.

More or less. I've never really seen any axe-users around, either, so I thought it might be interesting to ask.

Well, not everyone's made to swing around things like that. Especially axes - I mean, I know how to use one, but those things are pretty heavy.

More useful than a weapon, at least. The whole "flying around" part isn't half bad, either.

You've certainly got that right. A day isn't complete without a flight around the village or mountains.

Oh--yeah, he is. He--sort of looks like a giant cat. You might have seen him on rooftops and such.

Huh ... I can't say I have, but I also don't really look up a lot. Guess I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

[Mostly so he knows what it looks like in case monsters start attacking Luceti during some Shift, or something. He can't imagine this kid being too thrilled with him if he went off and cut up his dragon by accident.]

He hangs around where I go, mostly. So he's at the smithy and the school a lot. Oh--and house nine. Where we live.

Oh, no. Definitely not. [He never did anything besides glare at Den, so Hiccup thinks that's a pretty safe assumption.] Just don't take your pet fish out for a walk.
