[As per usual, Yuri's spending his morning today in the battle dome ... although, for those who've seen him in there a decent amount of times, they may notice something different. Like the fact that he seems to be using a mid-sized axe instead of a sword this time around. It even seems to be making some of his artes look and act a little differently as well.
He also has a sword leaning against the room he's using - namely the katana Luke got him for Christmas. Occasionally, during breaks in his training, he'll wander over to it and pick it up, as if thinking about something related to it, but he always ends up putting it back down again.
Feel free to interrupt his session at any point! The monsters he's fighting don't seem to be challenging him very much, to begin with.]

Got a bit of a question for everyone. Which do you think is better - swords, or axes?

As for you all, I figured I should let you know that I'll be trying to do a little recruiting around the end of the month. I'm planning on doing the usual through-the-journal kind, but if anyone's got a better idea, let me know.
... Actually, if anyone's got any ideas for the guild at all, now's a good time to tell me. Especially if it'd help us stand out a little more as something other than some kind of construction group.

[New Feather season. If he's lucky, he'll grab a bunch right out the gates.]

[He doesn't sound too thrilled at the idea, but ... also doesn't seem as annoyed by it as normal. They've got that partnership with that weirdo alchemist, after all. Makes things ten times easier.]

[She can't help but tease him about it anyway, knowing his opinion on the matter...]

... Yeah, more building. I mean, I can't get too annoyed by it, but this is so not what I got the guild running here for.

[... Hmm. How to put this.]
Well, let's say there were monsters here. The Rogues would be protecting the village itself in that case, kind of like the Knights back home. Using that, I guess Brave Vesperia would be something like the Hunting Blades - going out beyond the village and taking out the bigger targets. Or, like the guild has done back home, gathering things in dangerous areas.
... So, similar on the outside, but different in execution.
[ ... ]
... But I guess it's kind of pointless to talk about, anyway. There aren't any monsters around, and it's not like we can go out too far, either.

[YES. YES HE DOES ;_; AND HE FEELS LIKE A TERRIBLE PERSON FOR WISHING LUCETI HAD MAYBE ONE OR TWO SOMEWHERE.]

I suppose you've already made use of the battle dome for that. What about training, though? Maybe Brave Vesperia could offer classes on fighting monsters, in case something like last year happens again. [you know, with the monsters raining from the sky.]

Training against monsters, huh? ... I know there are some people teaching people how to use different kinds of weapons, but something like that hasn't been offered, that I know of.
[ ... ]
It might be useful for teaching people how to fight as a group too, actually.
[He doesn't want the guild to move from "Build Guild" to "Fighting Dojo Masters", but something like this would be useful. He'd have to talk it out with the guild to see how they feel about it.]

And you start offering a variety of services like this, maybe people will start bringing you more creative jobs.
